C.H. Guenther & Son Acquires Pizza Blends, Inc.

San Antonio – C.H. Guenther & Son (CHG) announces its acquisition of Pizza Blends, Inc., a leading producer of frozen and dry mix pizza crusts and other custom flour blended products. Pizza Blends Inc. has four manufacturing plants located across the U.S.

Dale W. Tremblay, President and CEO of CHG, complemented Mr. Bob Holmes, owner of Pizza Blends. “Bob and his team have developed a tremendous business over the past 25 plus years, and have provided great service and responsiveness to many Pizza and Foodservice customers. Pizza Blends is a great complement to our existing foodservice business, which specializes in developing unique and high quality products for many of the large Restaurant Chains and Distributors.”

Bob Holmes started Pizza Blends in 1983 in Portland, Oregon and pioneered an all-in-one pizza mix. Mr. Holmes continued to expand the business and constructed two additional dry mix manufacturing facilities and one frozen dough plant. Mr. Holmes built the Pizza Blends business by exceeding customer expectations for quality, innovation and service.

Details of the transaction were not disclosed.

San Antonio headquartered C.H. Guenther & Son was founded in Texas in 1851 by German immigrant Carl Hilmar Guenther. The company produces a variety of dry and frozen grain based food products for both retail and the foodservice industry. With this acquisition, Guenther will have nine production facilities in the US, as well as three operations in Europe (UK and Belgium).
