Whann Named Vice President of Food Safety & Quality Assurance

Matt Whann

Matt Whann will join C. H. Guenther & Son (CHG) beginning June 10 as the Vice President, Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA).

In this role, Whann will have overall responsibility for food safety, quality management, and regulatory compliance of all CHG operations in North America.

Whann has significant FSQA experience, most recently as the Vice President of Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs as well as Environmental, Health, & Safety and Sustainability at Milk Specialties Global (MSG).  Before MSG, he spent two years as Sr. Director of Enterprise Operations Quality for HP Hood and 13 years with Land O’Lakes, working his way up from Quality Assurance Supervisor to Strategic Operations Director, Purina Animal Nutrition Division.

Whann received his bachelor’s degree in biotechnology from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the University of Rochester, William E. Simon Graduate School of Business.
