We’re Essential:  Appreciation from Sysco and Kepak

We enjoy hearing from individual customers who we’ve helped through the COVID-19 crisis.  Every dollar they spend helps our company weather these times.  What about when one of our distributors says thanks?  

Kepak, a distributor in Europe, wrote to us:  

During the past few long weeks, we have had several examples of suppliers who have performed exceptionally in helping Kepak service our customers.  You and your company have been signaled out for special mention in that regard.  On behalf of us all at Kepak, I want to thank you and your colleagues for your response to the COVID-19 pandemic and especially for the way in which you have supported our business.  While we get acknowledgment from our customers, it does not always filter back to the other actors, like you, in the supply chain.  It is during times like these that the importance and value of strong relationships come to the fore.  Please pass on our appreciation.

Wow – we can be proud for all we do.

 Many distributors used innovation to help sell their products, including new advertising (remember the homemade banner at Chuck E. Cheese?) and specials (to-go Margaritas!).  And, like us, during this time they’ve given back to the community.  

 SYSCO and Ben E. Keith, two of our strategic distributor partners, have been innovative in reaching their customers.  As our regions gradually begin to reopen, they encourage us to dine in or get take out.  In San Antonio, Mexican restaurants using our products abound.  Where ever you are, whether you know they use our products or not, let’s support our local restaurants during this unique time. 

 We all benefit, as Kepak so eloquently praised.
